All round good fella Gerald Short sold me this little seven for 1 pound. Now that's a bargain.
53. EDDIE FISHER - EAST ST LOUIS BLUES
For the budding teenage Cadet Concept enthusiast this LP sleeve was nothing short of enigmatic. Low and behold - some seriously badly recorded good music.
54. THE CHILDREN - FIRE RING
This is not an alternative title to the 'Gurkha Grill' curry house advertisement, but a tense, slow building acid-rock testimonial from a rare LP featuring the fantctically named singer 'Cassell Webb' (personal taste).
55. FAUST - MEADOW MEAL
Is that WD40 still in Germany? Well Faust have got 1 keyboard and a few pinball machines that need sorting out before tonight's gig.
56. WEBSTER LEWIS - IT'S YOUR THING
...but not for long.
57. BLUES PROJECT - SHE RAISED HER HAND
Am I a fool for suggesting this would make an awesome hip hop sample? When I suggested just that in an Australian record shop I was laughed out of Sydney. A class joint none the less.
58. NRBQ - ROCKET NUMBER NINE
If you don't know what NRBQ stands for don't ask because this cover version of the space-jazz hit by Saturn's very own Herman Blount makes them look a lot more innovative than they actually are. Great version though.
59. MICHEL POLLNAREFF - VOYAGE
There is a guy in Manchester who carries a foot long rabbit around in a sports bag to woo the ladies. Michel Pollnareff used to carry a mouse every where he went.
60. SMITH - I JUST WANNA MAKE LOVE TO YOU
There's no WD40 left but there's a whole lot of cold-blooded variations on Rock Satandar's goin' down, and this is the one that the ladies like best.
